Other things to note:

• Please bring a supply of firewood and kindling if you would like to use the fire pit.
• We recommend using water shoes if you plan to swim in the lake
• Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living onsite 24/7.

Notes about the Community

• The community is gated. A gate code will be provided to guests prior to check-in day
• Guest are able to use the following community common areas: community picnic area (1st come basis), boat ramp, and docks for fishing, swimming, or simply relaxing. Please be courteous of others and not block free passage around the dock area
• Per Community Rules, boat dock slips in the community common area are for property owners only. Boats belonging to guests should be removed from the water after use.
• Fishing in Lake Anna requires a Virginia Fresh Water License
• Lake Anna is divided into a “Public” side and “Private” side. This property is on the Private Side and the lake is only accessible via private residences making the water less crowded for water sports, swimming or fishing. Since the private side does not have any public marinas, any gas required to run a motorized water vehicle will need to be filled up prior to launching your vehicle or with gas containers. I have a gas canister at the property which I can make available to you if requested.

Safety Devices & Considerations

• Four exterior security cameras are on the property monitoring entry into the doorways
• Noise decibel monitors are on the property inside the cottage.  These do not record conversations.  They monitor decibel levels
• Carbon monoxide alarms are installed
• Smoke alarms are installed
• Please be safe when going into the lake.  Life vests are provided

House Rules 

• Check-in after 4:00 PM
• Checkout before 10:00 AM
• 8 Guest Maximum
• No Pets
• No Parties or events
• No Smoking
• Please take extra care of the boat ramp keys and visitor parking passes. Lost keys or passes will incur a replacement fee of $25.
• Please keep all trash inside the trash bins outside. 
• No illegal substances allowed on the premises.
• Parking is only allowed in the driveway
• Do not throw pea gravel into the fire pit. This is an explosion hazard.
• The treehouse in the backyard is high off the ground. Children should be supervised at all times. The treehouse is inspected periodically, but guests should inspect it for any unsafe conditions (i.e. structural damage) prior to child use. Use at own risk.
• Use of the children's equipment (i.e. High Chair, Pack-N-Play) is at the sole risk of the guest. It is inspected periodically, but please ensure it is in good working condition prior to use.
